Pakistan can scale heights in world cricket, says Mohsin

Former Pakistan coach Mohsin Khan believes that under Dav Whatmore the national team have the potential to improve further and continue their upward graph in world cricket. “I don't know why we lost the one-day and Twenty20 series to England. I couldn't put a finger on it, but that is now history. If the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed a new coach fine, but I believe this team will still move upwards because of the immense talent we have at our disposal,” Mohsin said in an interview. The former Test player, who served as chief selector and also
as interim coach from 2010 onwards, said he had thoroughly enjoyed his stint with the national team.

“It was very disappointing to lose the one-day series to England. But otherwise it was a great experience. There was great fighting spirit in the team and the players played like a fighting unit in the Test series,” Mohsin said. He said he had no grudges against anyone after the PCB had replaced him as Pakistan coach. “The PCB did what it thought best for the team. It is their decision to bring in a foreign coach. But I just feel that in future the board needs to handle things with more care and feelings,” he said. “I have no grouse with their decision. I just feel they could have had the changeover in a better manner," he added.
